A mixture of 2-phenyl-5-trifluoromethyl-oxazole-4-carboxylic acid (4-[1,4]diazepan-1-yl-phenyl)-amide hydrochloride (56 mg, 0.12 mmol), 4-bromomethyl-benzoic acid (28 mg, 0.13 mmol), triethylamine (0.07 mL, 0.50 mmol) in DMF (5 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 0.5 hr then concentrated and the residue was taken up in 50 mL of ethyl acetate and washed with 50 mL of saturated ammonium chloride, water (50 mL), and dried with anhydrous sodium sulfate. The solvent was removed and the residue was triturated with ethyl acetate, followed by filtration, to afford 4-(4-{4-[(2-phenyl-5-trifluoromethyl-oxazole-4-carbonyl)-amino]-phenyl}-[1,4]diazepan-1-ylmethyl)-benzoic acid as a yellow solid (20 mg, 29% yield) LCMS for C30H27F3N4O4 calcd. (m/e) 564, observed 565 (M+H).
