1-[5-(4-Bromo-phenyl)-3-methyl-isoxazol-4-yl]-but-3-en-1-ol (0.152 g, 0.49 mmol), iodobenzene (0.06 mL, 0.49 mmol), dichlorobis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II) (0.034 g, 0.05 mmol), and triethylamine (0.68 mL, 4.9 mmol) were combined in DMF (4 mL) and the mixture was purged with N2 (g) for 5 minutes. The reaction was then sealed and stirred at 100° C. overnight. After aqueous workup, the crude material was purified by silica gel chromatography (0-50% EtOAc in hexanes) to give the title compound.
