To a solution of 4-[5-(4-methoxyphenyl)-[1,3,4]oxadiazol-2-yl]-benzene-1,2-diamine (564 mg, 2.0 mmol) and 3-(4-formyl-3,5-dimethylphenyl)-acrylic acid methyl ester (436 mg, 2.0 mmol) (Example 1-60, step C) in 10 mL of DMF and 1 mL of water was added oxone (824 mg, 1.34 mmol) and the mixture was stirred at RT for 20 min. Ethyl acetate was added and stirred for a while then water was added. The organic layer was separated and the aqueous layer was extracted with EtOAc. The combined organic layers were washed with water, brine, dried with MgSO4 and filtered. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure to give the title compound. MS: m/z 481 (M+1).
