Procedure

Into a 1000 mL double jacketed flask (5.75 g, 37.1 mmol) DTT, 5.75 mL H2O and (102.5 mL, 1220 mmol) TFA were added and the solution was cooled to 15° C. internal temperature. The peptide solution was then added within 10-15 min and the addition funnel was rinsed with 5.0 mL methylene chloride. The intensive yellow reaction solution was stirred at 14° C.-16° C. internal temperature for 10.5 h.
