To a solution of 7-hydroxy-5-azaspiro[2.4]heptane (1.23 g, 11.0 mmol) in THF (40 mL) was added 3-bromopropanol (2.3 g, 16.65 mmol) and Et3N (2.24 g, 22.2 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at rt for 12 hrs and then concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by a silica gel column chromatography (100:50:2(v/v/v)EtOAc/CH3OH/Et3N) to afford the desired compound as orange oil (1.14 g, 60%).
