Procedure
A 0.07M solution of methyl 1-benzyl-14′-cyclohexylspiro[azetidine-3,7′-indolo[1,2-e][1,5]benzoxazocine]-11′-carboxylate in MeOH and EtOAc (2:1) was stirred in the presence of 10% Pd/C and 3M HCl under H2-atmosphere for 3 days. The reaction mixture was filtered on CELITE and co-evaporated with toluene, pentane and Et2O until a solid was obtained; this solid was washed with Et2O and dried to afford the title compound as its HCl salt (46%). MS (ES+) m/z 431 (M+H)+.
