To 4-bromomethyl-5-(4-bromo-phenyl)-3-methyl-isoxazole (3.68 g, 11.12 mmol) in DMF (30 mL) was added sodium azide (1.83 g, 27.79 mmol) and the reaction was stirred at 80° C. for 1 hour. After aqueous workup, the mixture was concentrated to give the title compound.
