1-[4′-(3-Methyl-4-oxiranyl-isoxazol-5-yl)-biphenyl-4-yl]-cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ethyl ester (0.100 g, 0.26 mmol) and potassium carbonate (0.054 g, 0.39 mmol) were stirred in DMF (5 mL) and then benzyl mercaptan (0.040 mL, 0.31 mmol) was added. After stirring 4 hours at room temperature an additional portion of benzyl mercaptan (0.010 mL) was added. After 1 hour the reaction was submitted to standard aqueous workup and purified on silica gel (0-40% EtOAc in hexanes) to afford the title compound.
