To a solution of 1 g (3.3 mmol) of the compound of Stage 3.7 in 10 ml of DMF, 0.8086 g (4.175 mmol) of 2-(4-chloromethyl-phenyl)-2H-[1,2,3]triazole, 0.0555 g (0.33 mmol) of KI and 0.646 g (4.68 mmol) of K2CO3 are added successively at r.t. After stirring for 18 h, the reaction is quenched with ice water and the mixture is extracted with AcOEt. The combined extracts are washed with H2O, brine, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated under reduced pressure to give a solid which is washed with diethylether and MeOH to give the title compound.
