Methanesulfonyl chloride (1.1 ml) and triethylamine (2 ml) were added to a solution of 2-chloro-5-(3-hydroxypropyl)-N-(tricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]dec-1-ylmethyl)-benzamide (Example 6d, 2.65 g) in dichloromethane at 0° C. After 1 h the reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate and extracted once with water, twice with saturated sodium hydrogencarbonate solution and once with brine, dried over magnesium sulfate and concentrated under reduced pressure to give the subtitled compound as an oil which slowly solidified (3.2 g).
