Procedure
A solution of 1h (20 mg, 0.051 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (5 mL) was mixed with trifluoroacetic acid (0.5 mL). The resultant solution was stirred at room temperature for 1 h, then mixed with saturated NaHCO3 solution (30 mL), and extracted with ethyl acetate (30 mL, 3×). The combined organic phases were dried over MgSO4, filtered, and concentrated. Flash chromatography (hexanes/ethyl acetate, 1:1) provided the title compound (8 mg, 55%) as a white solid: MS (ES) m/z 287 (M+H)+; 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ7.73 (s, 1H), 7.63-7.50 (m, 3H), 7.42 (m, 1H), 7.08 (m, 2H).
