To a solution of 1-(2-amino-ethyl)-3-ethyl-3-(3-methoxy-phenyl)-azepan-2-one hydrochloride (as described in Example 51, Step C) (0.27 g, 0.826 mmol) in DMF (5.0 mL) was added NEt3 (0.35 mL, 2.48 mmol) and t-butylisocyanate (0.29 mL, 2.48 mmol) and the solution was stirred for 18 hr. The DMF was removed in vacuo, and the residue partitioned between EtOAc and H2O. The organic layer was washed with brine and dried (MgSO4), and the solvents removed in vacuo to obtain the title compound.
