Procedure

The title compound was prepared according to the procedure described in Example 1, Step E, except using 1-(2(R)- tert-butoxycarbonylamino-3-triphenylmethylthiopropyl)-4-(5,6,7,8-tetrahydronaphth-1-yl)piperazine obtained in Step B above, triethylsilane (0.71 mL, 4.48 mmol), trifluoroacetic acid (6 mL) and dichloromethane (12 mL). Purification by preparative HPLC using gradient elution (100% Solvent A to 40% Solvent A/60% Solvent B over 60 min), ion exchange and lyophilization afforded the title compound as a white powder (89 mg).
