Procedure
To a solution of 16d (24 mg, 82 μmol) in THF (2 mL) and MeOH (0.5 mL) was added a 1.0N aqueous solution of LiOH (0.2 mL, 200 μmol) and the resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The reaction was diluted with a 25% aqueous solution of NH4OAc and extracted with EtOAc. The organic layer was dried over MgSO4 and concentrated. Purification by flash chromatography (30:70:1 EtOAc/hexane/AcOH) gave 23 mg of the title compound as a light yellow gum.
