Prepared according to the methods above using 2,4-dibromonicotinonitrile (100 mg, 0.382 mmol), 3-aminopropylbenzene (0.058 mL, 0.401 mmol) and Hunig's Base (0.080 mL, 0.458 mmol) in DMF (1.5 mL) to give the desired product as a white solid (79 mg). LC/MS (316/318, [M−H]−/[M+H]+); 1H NMR (400 MHz, CHLOROFORM-d) δ 8.02 (dd, J=6.0, 0.5 Hz, 1H), 7.37-7.30 (m, 2H), 7.28-7.15 (m, 3H), 6.42 (d, J=6.0 Hz, 1H), 5.26 (br. s., 1H), 3.28 (td, J=7.0, 5.8 Hz, 2H), 2.75 (t, J=7.4 Hz, 2H), 2.03 (quin, J=7.3 Hz, 2H).
