Procedure
In analogy to example 203, step 1, (E)-3-(4-chloro-2-fluorophenyl)-1-(6-methoxypyridin-3-yl)prop-2-en-1-one (example 237, step 1) was reacted with 4-methoxycarbonylphenylboronic acid in the presence of chloro(1,5-cyclooctadiene)rhodium(I) dimer and sodium hydrogen-carbonate in 1,4-dioxane and water at 60° C. The product of this reaction could not be obtained pure and was reacted in analogy to example 162, step 2 with concentrated aqueous HCl in 1,4-dioxane to give a light yellow solid which was used in the next step without purification. In analogy to example 161, step 1, the compound was reacted with iodomethane in the presence of potassium carbonate. In analogy to example 169, step 2, the methyl ester was hydrolyzed to give the title compound as an off-white solid, which was purified by extraction. MS (ESI−): m/z=412.0 [M−H]−.
