Procedure

3-[4-Chloro-1-(cyclopropylmethyl)-1H-benzotriazol-5-yl]prop-2-yn-1-yl methanesulfonate (30 mg, 0.088 mmol), 3-methylimidazolidine-2,4-dione (20.15 mg, 0.177 mmol), and potassium carbonate (36.6 mg, 0.265 mmol) were combined in acetonitrile (1 ml) and heated at 50° C. for 24 hours. The mixture was cooled to ambient temperature, diluted with ethyl acetate and washed with saturated aqueous ammonium chloride and brine. The organic extract was dried with sodium sulfate, filtered, concentrated in vacuo. The residue was purified by silica gel gradient chromatography (0-5% acetone/dichloromethane) to provide the titled compound: 1H NMR (500 MHz, d6-DMSO) δ 7.97 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1H), 7.73 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1H), 4.64 (d, J=7.3 Hz, 2H), 4.53 (s, 2H), 4.13 (s, 2H), 2.88 (s, 3H), 1.42-1.34 (m, 1H), 0.56 (m, 2H), 0.47 (m, 2H) ppm. LRMS m/z (M+H) 358.0 [calculated for C17H17ClN5O2: 358.8].
