To a suspension of 4-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one (12.8 g) in ethanol (200 mL) was added propargylamine (9.67 mL), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The precipitate was collected by filtration, and washed with ethanol to give the title compound (11.9 g).
