Procedure

To a solution of glycinamide hydrochloride (5.00 g) and triethylamine (6.30 mL) in ethanol (60 mL) was added 4-thioxo-1,3-thiazolidin-2-one (5.02 g), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight. The precipitate was collected by filtration and washed with ethanol to give the title compound (6.50 g).
