Ethyldiisopropylamine (50 μL) and 2-chloro-5-ethylpyrimidine (17 μL) are added to a solution of 4-[5-(4-methanesulfonyl-phenyl)-2,3-dihydro-benzofuran-2-yl]-piperidine (50 mg) in N,N-dimethylformamide (1 mL) and the reaction mixture is stirred at 120° C. for 2 h. After cooling to room temperature over night, dichloromethane and water are added. The aqueous phase is separated and extracted with dichloromethane. The combined organic phases are washed with water, 10% NH4Cl solution, and brine, and dried over MgSO4. The solvent is evaporated and the residue is triturated with diethyl ether to give the title compound. LC (method 4): tR=1.26 min; Mass spectrum (ESI+): m/z=464 [M+H]+.
