Procedure

To a stirred solution of 3-(aminomethyl)-N,N-dimethyltetrahydrothiophen-3-amine (160 mg, 0.998 mmol) in DCM: MeOH (4:1, 10 mL) was added MCPBA (246 mg, 1.098 mmol) at 0° C. The reaction was slowly warmed to room temperature and stirred overnight. The crude was purified by cation exchange resin to give the title compound without further purification.
