Procedure
To a rt solution of 4.B (163 mg, 384 μmol) in dioxane (2.5 mL) was added 6.0 N HCl (1 mL). After stirring at rt for 30 min, the reaction mixture was poured into saturated aqueous NaHCO3 (5 m L), diluted with water (5 mL) and extracted by 30% iPrOH/CHCl3 (3×10 mL). The combined solution was washed with brine and dried over MgSO4. After removal of organic solvent under reduced pressure, purification of the residue by flash chromatography on silica gel using 0-20% MeOH/CH2Cl2 for elution provided 4.C as a colorless solid (105 mg, 85%)
