Fluoresceinamine (FA; 0.0583 g) was dissolved in 1.0 ml acetonitrile to from a FA solution. Amoxicillin (0.1 g) was dissolved in 30 ml deionized water, and mixed with the aforesaid FA solution. 1-ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide (0.0408 g) was added thereto and magnetically stirred at room temperature in the dark for 12 hours to make FA to graft to the carboxyl group of amoxicillin to form a fluorescent-labeled FA-amoxicillin. And, finally, the sample was freeze-dried to collect the fluorescent-labeled FA-amoxicillin.
