Procedure

A solution of tert-butyl 1-(trifluoromethyl)cyclopropylcarbamate (0.3 g, 1.3 mmol) in HCl (4 N dioxane, 6.7 mL, 27 mmol) was stirred at ambient temperature overnight. The reaction was then concentrated to yield the crude product as white solid, which was used directly in the next step assuming quantitative yield.
