{3,5-Dimethyl-1-[4-(4-trifluoromethyl-benzenesulfinylmethyl)-benzyl]-1H-pyrazol-4-yl}-acetic acid methyl ester (intermediate 16.2.1, 60 mg, 0.13 mmol) was dissolved in 2 ml dioxane and 1 ml water and aqueous NaOH solution (0.26 ml, 1 M) was added. After stirring for 1 h at 60° C. and dilution with water, aqueous HCl solution (0.39 ml, 1 M) was added. The mixture was extracted twice with ethyl acetate, the organic layer was dried over MgSO4 and evaporated under reduced pressure.
