The crude material from step 2 was dissolved in DMSO (70 mL). Powdered K2HPO4 (18 g, 0.10 mol) and KH2PO4 (7 g, 0.05 mol) were added. The mixture was stirred at 80° C. for 5 hours, diluted with water (500 mL), and extracted with ethyl acetate (3×100 mL). The combined organic extracts were dried (MgSO4), and concentrated. After column chromatography (hexane, ethyl acetate 3:1) 4.8 g of the title compound was obtained.
