9 g of 5-aminomethyl-3-ethyl-isoxazole is stirred in 12 ml of dimethylformamide-dimethylacetal with exclusion of moisture for 8 hours at 80° C. (bath temperature). After distillation on a bulb tube at 145° C. and 0.03 torr, 12.8 g (98% of theory) of the desired product is obtained.
