A solution of 43.1 (3.4 g, 12 mmol) in 10:1 DMF/water (48 mL) was stirred overnight at 90° C. The mixture was cooled to room temperature, diluted with EtOAc, washed with 1 N HCl and brine, dried (MgSO4), and concentrated to afford 43.2 (2.4 g) as a pink oil. The crude product was used without further purification.
