Procedure
Under nitrogen atmosphere, to a solution of 2.78 g of the compound obtained in Step 79-1 in DMF (30 ml) was added 0.66 g of NaH under ice cooling. The solution was stirred at room temperature for one hour, then, 3.58 g of [(2-bromoethoxy)methyl]benzene was added. The solution was stirred at room temperature for two hours, then, water was added, and the resulting mixture was extracted with EtOAc. The organic layers were combined, washed with saturated brine and dried over MgSO4, then, the drying agent was separated by filtration and the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The obtained residue was purified by column chromatography (silicagel 60; mobile phase: n-hexane/EtOAc=2/3; v/v) to obtain 3.22 g of the title compound (pale yellow oil).
