To the compound (0.28 g, 0.57 mmol) obtained in Step (iii) were added methanol (3 ml) and a 4N hydrochloric acid in dioxane (3 ml), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for one hour. The mixture was cooled to 0° C., and neutralized with 4% aqueous ammonia. The precipitated solid was collected by filtration, and washed with water to give the title compound (0.18 g, 0.19 mmol) as a white solid. Yield: 65%.
