A solution of {2-[2-(2-Fluoro-ethyl)-2H-tetrazol-5-yl]-ethyl}-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (1.0 g, 3.9 mmol) in dichloromethane (30 ml) was treated with a solution of 4M HCl in dioxane (31 ml) and the reaction mixture stirred for 1 hour. The solvent was evaporated to yield the titled product as a white solid.
