Procedure
A solution of [2-(2-Fluoro-ethylcarbamoyl)-ethyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (0.353 g, 1.51 mmol) in dichloromethane (10 ml) was treated with trifluoroacetic acid (1 ml) and the reaction stirred at ambient temperature for 4 hours. The solvent was evaporated to dryness to yield the titled product as a trifluoroacetate salt.
