Procedure

A solution of EXAMPLE 34A (0.1 g, 0.4 mmol) and pyrrolidine (0.13 mL, 1.6 mmol) in methanol (1 mL) was treated with sodium cyanoborohydride (0.05 g, 0.8 mmol) and acetic acid (0.2 mL) and the mixture stirred overnight at 70° C. The residue was concentrated and purified by flash chromatography on silica gel using 0-10% dichloromethane/methanol/0.1% ammonium hydroxide to provide the title compound, which was dissolved in methanol (1 mL), treated with a solution of 1M hydrochloric acid in ether (2 mL) and stirred at ambient temperature for 2 hours. The precipitate was filtered to give the title compound as the hydrochloride salt. 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 11.26 (s, 1H), 8.34 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 2H), 7.85-7.91 (m, 3H), 7.79 (d, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 7.39 (t, J=7.8 Hz, 1H), 4.51 (qd, J=7.4, 7.2 Hz, 1H), 3.70 (dd, J=11.4, 4.5 Hz, 1H), 3.12-3.20 (m, 1 Hz), 2.95-3.02 (m, 1H), 2.89 (dq, J=11.2, 8.1 Hz, 1H), 1.91-2.00 (m, 2H), 1.79-1.88 (m, 1H), 1.69 (d, J=6.9 Hz, 3H).
