Procedure

N-{2,2-Dimethyl-6-[2-methyl-6-oxo-5-{[2′-(5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl)biphenyl-4-yl]methyl}-4-propylpyrimidin-1(6H)-yl]-3,4-dihydro-2H-chromen-4-yl}acetamide (0.30 g) was dissolved in 6 M hydrochloric acid (1 mL) and 1,4-dioxane (2 mL), and the mixture was stirred at 90° C. for 2 days. The reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with saturated aqueous sodium hydrogen carbonate solution and then with saturated brine, and dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography to give the title compound (0.25 g, 90%) as a colorless solid.
