The title compound is prepared in analogy to rac-4-(2,2-dimethyl-[1,3]dioxolan-4-ylmethoxy)-N-hydroxy-3,5-dimethyl-benzamidine (step b) starting from 4-hydroxymethyl-benzonitrile and using triethylamine as base; LC-MS: tR=0.21 min, [M+1]+=167.04.
