A stirred solution comprising (S)-pyrrolidin-3-yl-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (2.0 g, 10.7 mmol), 2-bromopyridine (1.7 g, 10.7 mmol) and TEA (1.1 g, 10.7 mmol) in DMF (40 ml) is heated to 80° C. for 50 hours. The solvent is removed in vacuo the purification of the crude residue by chromatography on silica eluting with ethyl acetate:hexane (1:9 increasing to 1:4) yields the titled compound as a white solid.
