Procedure

To a solution of tetrahydro-3-oxo-N,1,1-triphenyl-3H-oxazolo[3,4-a]pyrazine-7(1H)-carboxamide (60 mg, 0.15 mmol) in tetrahydrofuran (2 mL) was added 60% sodium hydride (10 mg, 0.25 mmol), and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hour. Next, methyl iodide (0.15 g, 1.1 mmol) was added thereto, and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 4 hours. The reaction solution was concentrated. Then, the residue was purified with silica gel column chromatography (hexane:ethyl acetate=1:1) and crystallized from diisopropyl ether to obtain the title compound (30 mg, yield 48%).
