The product obtained in step A] (500 mg) was treated with 2.2M HCl in ethyl acetate (15 mL) at RT for 60 minutes. After complete consumption of the starting material, the reaction mixture was diluted with ethyl acetate, washed with saturated NaHCO3 solution and brine, dried, filtered and evaporated. The crude product was purified by flash chromatography using CH2Cl2/MeOH/NH4OH 95:5:0.5 as an eluent. The fractions containing pure product were combined and evaporated to give the title compound as a colorless oil (251 mg).
