Procedure
2.0 g (6.2 mmol) 5-Amino-N-(2,6-dichlorophenyl)-N-methyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-sulphonamide was suspended in 30 ml tetrahydrofuran and treated with 0.5 ml (8.5 mmol) methyl isocyanate and 0.9 ml (6.5 mmol) triethylamine. The mixture was stirred for 3 hours at room temperature and allowed to stand overnight. The solution was concentrated and the residue chromatographed on silica gel using a mixture of hexane and ethyl acetate.
