Procedure
1.1 equivalents of triethylamine are added to 4.5 g (0.016 mol) of the 4-hydroxy-1-[3,4-methylenedioxybenzoyl]pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid obtained in Example 5 suspended in 130 ml of acetonitrile at 0° C. The reaction mixture is stirred for 20 minutes and then 1.1 equivalents of ethyl chloroformate are added while maintaining the temperature between 0° and 5° C. After stirring for 20 minutes, ammonia is bubbled through the reaction mixture. The precipitate formed is separated. The filtrate is removed under vacuum, the precipitate obtained is recrystallized in acetonitrile.
