Procedure
490 mg (1.00mmol) of 6,8-difluoro-2-(3-fluoro-4-pivaloylaminophenyl)-7-hydroxy-5-pivaloylamino-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one obtained in Example 86 (3) was dissolved in 40 mL of dimethylformamide, 3.60 mg (26.0 mmol) of potassium carbonate and 2.88 g (20.0 mmol) of 2-dimethylaminoethyl chloride hydrochloride were added and the mixture was stirred at 50° C. for 12 hours. The reaction solution was filtered, the filtrate was concentrated, water was added to the residue and the mixture was extracted once with ethyl acetate. The organic layer was washed once with water and once with an aqueous saturated solution of sodium chloride and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. The solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (chloroform:methanol=30:1) to give 230 mg of 7-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy)-6,8-difluoro-2-(3-fluoro-4-pivaloylaminophenyl)-5-pivaloylamino-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one (yield: 41%).
