To a solution of 5-iodo-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole (2.00 g) (J. Org. Chem. 2008, 73, 1, 177-183) in triethylamine (40.0 mL) were added ethynyl(trimethyl)silane (0.80 g), CuT (0.141 g) and PdCl2(PPh3)2 (0.260 g) under an argon atmosphere, and the mixture was stirred at 70° C. for 10 hr. The reaction mixture was filtered, and the filtrate was concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (dichloromethane) to give the title compound (1.54 g).
