Procedure
7-methyl-3H-thieno[3,2-d]pyrimidin-4-one (9 g, 54.2 mmol), DMF (1 mL), POCl3 (80 mL) were mixed and refluxed for 4 hours at 110° C. The reaction solution was cooled to room temperature, and the reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure. The reaction mixture was added with toluene, and further concentrated under reduced pressure. The resulting residue was neutralized with sodium bicarbonate, subjected to extraction with ethyl acetate, dried, and filtered to obtain the title compound (8.1 g, 81%).
