To dichloromethane (10 ml) was added DBU (1,8-diazabicyclo[5,4,0]-7-undecene, 200 μl), and N-Fmoc-di(4-docosoxyphenyl)methylamine (500 mg, 474 μmol) obtained in Example 4 was added and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 5 hr. 1N Hydrochloric acid (1.3 ml) was added dropwise and, after stirring, the solvent was evaporated and the residue was washed with acetonitrile (10 ml) to give di(4-docosoxyphenyl)methylamine (340 mg, 408 μmol, yield 86%).
