Procedure

A mixture of 7-(4-fluorobenzylidene)-4,4-dimethyl-1-oxaspiro[2.4]hept-5-ene (5.5 g), produced according to the previous example, with imidazole (2 g) and potassium carbonate (6.6 g) is heated in N,N-dimethylformamide (50 cc) for 4 hours. The mixture is poured into water and extracted with ethyl acetate. The organic phase is washed, dried and recrystallized to obtain the product indicated, m.p. 172° C., compound no. 32.
