Compound 75b (70.2 mg, 0.209 mmol) was placed in an 8 mL vial equipped with a stir bar and then DCM (10 mL) and DIEA (72.7 μL, 0.417 mmol) were added. MsCl (24.3 μL, 0.313 mmol) was added, and then the reaction was stirred at rt for 3 days. Additional MsCl (24.3 μL, 0.313 mmol) and DIEA (72.7 μL, 0.417 mmol) were added and the reaction was stirred for 2 h. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The crude material was placed in a 50 mL round bottom flask equipped with a stir bar, followed by addition of ACN (25 mL). 2-Quinolinethiol (38.2 mg, 0.230 mmol) and K2CO3 (43.3 mg, 0.313 mmol) were added and then the reaction was stirred at rt for 1 h. The temperature was increased to 80° C. and the reaction was stirred for 18 h. The reaction was cooled to rt, diluted with DCM (20 mL), and filtered. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure. The crude produced was purified by flash column chromatography on silica gel (25-g SiO2 pre-packed column, 0-100% EtOAc/heptanes) to afford compound 75c. 1H-NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ (ppm): 8.84 (s, 1H), 7.91 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1H), 7.81-7.89 (m, 2H), 7.78 (s, 1H), 7.76 (d, J=8.1 Hz, 1H), 7.70 (t, J=7.7 Hz, 1H), 7.60 (d, J=8.1 Hz, 1H), 7.46-7.53 (m, 1H), 7.35 (s, 1H), 7.21 (d, J=8.6 Hz, 1H), 4.69 (s, 2H), 4.30-4.43 (m, 4H), 3.82-3.91 (m, J=4.5, 4.5 Hz, 4H). Mass Spectrum (LCMS, ESI pos.) Calcd. for C26H21N7OS: 480.2 (M+H). found: 480.1.
