To a solution of (115) (0.2 g, 0.42 mmol) in DCM (5 mL) was added boron tribromide (1.0M solution in DCM, 0.46 mL, 0.46 mmol) at −70° C. The resulting mixture was stirred for approximately two h at rt with TLC monitoring (hexane:EtOAc, 1:1). The reaction mixture was poured into saturated aqueous NaHCO3 solution (50 mL), extracted with EtOAc (3×50 mL), and the combined organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated in vacuo. Purification by trituration with DCM in pentane (1:9) yielded the title compound (0.11 g, 0.24 mmol).
