Procedure
N-(2-(5-Chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)-3-(piperazin-1-ylmethyl)benzamide was prepared following Method C starting from N-(2-(5-chloro-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)-3-(chloromethyl)benzamide (0.050 g; 0.144 mmol) and piperazine (0.043 g; 0.5 mmol) in THF (3 mL), under a microwave irradiation at 150° C. for 10 minutes. Flash chromatography on silica gel (eluent 20 to 50% methanol in dichloromethane) furnished 0.035 g (61%) of the title compound as a white solid.
