4-(3-Fluorobenzyl)-N-(2-(5-methyl-1H-indol-3-yl)ethyl)benzamide was prepared according to method A with 2-(5-methyl-1H-indol-3-yl)ethanamine hydrochloride (0.060 g; 0.284 mmol), 4-(3-fluorobenzyl)benzoic acid (0.079 g; 0.341 mmol), HATU (0.141 g; 0.370 mmol) and N,N-diisopropylethylamine 0.123 mL; 0.711 mmol) in DMF (5 mL). Flash chromatography on silica gel (eluent 20 to 100% ethyl acetate in heptane) furnished 0.046 g (42%) of the title compound as a white solid.
