To a solution of 2-(4-chloro-5H-pyrrolo[3,2-d]pyrimidin-5-yl)ethanol (130 mg) in 1-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (1.3 mL) was added 3-chloro-4-[(3-fluorobenzyl)oxy]aniline (193 mg), and the reaction mixture was stirred at 120° C. for 2 hrs. The reaction mixture was allowed to cool to room temperature and ethyl acetate (20 mL) was added. The resultant precipitate was recrystallized from a mixed solvent of hexane/methanol (3/7), collected by filtration and dried under reduced pressure to give the title compound (206 mg) as pale purple crystals.
